Asunción, Agencia IP.- The Head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAG), Carlos Giménez, stated that Paraguay’s privileged health status arouses interest worldwide.
«The health status that Paraguay currently holds is of interest worldwide, to see how it works,» Giménez highlighted yesterday after his meeting with President Santiago Peña at Mburuvicha Róga.
On the occasion, the authorities announced that Paraguay will host the International Congress on Animal Health, which will take place on April 10 and 11 this year.
«This will allow us to continue advancing in cross-border trade and open doors to the world; we have quality meat and a health status that allows us to conquer new markets,» emphasized MAG’s Minister in a press conference.
The Minister emphasized that all this potential is what Paraguay intends to show the world during the congress, as mentioned above, and that the country continues to consolidate itself in the sector.
During the event, which expects the participation of 57 countries, aspects related to the importance of animal health will be addressed within the framework of celebrating the 100 years of the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE).
