Asunción, Agencia IP.- Within the framework of the trade mission to the United States, the Vice Minister of Rediex, Rodrigo Maluff, met with the Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU) to adjust details on the organization of investment forums in Paraguay and strengthen commercial ties between both nations.
The first meeting between the Vice Minister of Rediex and representatives of the BCIU (for its acronym in English) focused on holding investment forums in September during the visit of a Paraguayan delegation to the United Nations.
He indicated that during the conversations, it was coordinated which areas of the business council would be extended an invitation, and strategies were explored to incorporate these forums into their agendas.
According to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC) report, the possibility of a delegation of American investors visiting Paraguay as part of a competitiveness agenda was also discussed.
In this context, he specified that the objective of this mission to the United States is to increase the landing of investments, restore the presence of this nation, and increase bilateral trade.
“Paraguay is a class A diplomatic ally of the United States, and we want the relationship of American foreign investments in the country also to be class A, to be the number one investor. We came to try to work with them on that recovery,” said the Investment and Export Network Vice Minister.

Likewise, in a second meeting, the Paraguayan delegation and the BCIU focused their attention on mechanisms to facilitate import and export, with special emphasis on the ATA carnet.
This international document allows the temporary import and export of goods for events and fairs, and its implementation in Paraguay promises to boost the services sector and creative industries.
The ATA Carnet is considered an essential tool for attracting the production of creative events and services from Paraguay to the world. It offers a competitive advantage in organizing international events and participating in global fairs.
With these meetings, Paraguay reaffirms its commitment to strengthening its economy by attracting foreign investment and facilitating trade, positioning itself as a strategic partner of the United States in Latin America.
