What is the Certificate of Origin?
The Certificate of Origin for Export is an important document for final producers and exporters. It certifies under oath that the exported goods comply with established origin rules.
This certificate offers tariff benefits in the destination country and allows for the use of available import quotas. Additionally, as stipulated in each trade agreement, it is valid for 180 days from the date of issuance.
The cost of the document varies depending on the invoice submitted by the company. It can range between 1 and 7 daily wages. Payment is made electronically, providing greater convenience and efficiency in the process.
