Asunción, Agencia IP.- This Thursday, the 26th, the Paraguayan Beef Night will take place in Ottawa at the Agriculture and Food Museum in Canada. Authorities from both nations, as well as representatives from the private sector, will attend. The event aims to strengthen trade relations following the recent opening of this market for Paraguay’s national red meat.
The «Beef from Paraguay» event is organized by the Embassy of Paraguay in Canada, with support from the Investment and Export Network (REDIEX) of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Paraguayan Meat Chamber (CPC). Concepción and Minerva Foods will provide premium cuts.
Since the opening of the Canadian market for Paraguayan beef in May, Paraguay has exported 1,292,945.19 kilos of beef, generating USD 5,819,021.49 in revenue up until August 31, a record for the month.
This success in Canada has positioned the country as the 18th destination on the list of Paraguayan beef export markets, surpassing nations such as Egypt, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates.
Since the market opened this past May, Paraguay has established itself as a key player in beef exports, following a rigorous quality control process by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). According to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, the National Animal Quality and Health Service (SENACSA) was crucial in consolidating this achievement.
