Asunción, Agencia IP.- The British Embassy in Paraguay commented on the first visit of the British Foreign Secretary, David Cameron, to Paraguay, highlighting that «This visit reflects the commitment of the British government to strengthen relations with Latin America.»

From their X account, the diplomatic representation in our country also stated, «We welcome Foreign Secretary and former Prime Minister David Cameron on his first visit to Paraguay by a British Foreign Secretary.»

On Tuesday, February 20, Cameron arrives, marking a significant milestone in the bilateral relationship between the United Kingdom and the Republic of Paraguay.

The British diplomat will meet with President Santiago Peña and Foreign Minister Rubén Ramírez Lezcano to explore ways to promote trade, sustainable growth, education, and human rights cooperation.

From the National Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was reported that the visit of the Foreign Secretary aims to strengthen the existing ties between the two nations and underscores the UK’s commitment to the region’s governments, building bridges and fostering diplomatic relations based on mutual respect and shared values.

In recent years, Paraguay and the United Kingdom have experienced a significant convergence of interests, deepening their ties.
