Asunción, Agencia IP.- Taiwan is establishing itself as one of the leading markets for Paraguayan meat. To strengthen its presence in this destination, two events will be held in Taipei on February 25.
The Meat Sector Business Roundtable and the well-known «Paraguayan Meat Night» will bring together business leaders and sector authorities to promote Paraguayan beef and pork among the Taiwanese public.
A delegation comprising representatives from the country’s most crucial meat processing plants, which are already operating in the Taiwanese market, will accompany Javier Viveros, Deputy Minister of Rediex; José Carlos Martin Campercholi, President of SENACSA; and Randy Ross, President of the Paraguayan Chamber of Meat. As part of their agenda, they will visit meat processing companies before the main event, which will take place in the evening.
Macarena Barboza, Commercial Attaché of Rediex in Taiwan, highlighted the importance of these initiatives in consolidating Paraguayan meat’s presence in the Asian market.
Meanwhile, Paraguayan Ambassador to Taiwan, Carlos José Fleitas, emphasized the impact of Paraguayan meat on local cuisine: «Today, I will have lunch in Taipei with a delicious burger from a well-known international brand that uses Paraguayan meat in its products. Every time someone eats this burger in this friendly Asian nation, they consume Paraguayan meat,» the Ambassador stated in a video on the diplomatic mission’s social media.
The Ambassador also noted that Taiwan is currently the second-largest market for Paraguayan beef, accounting for approximately 12% of total exports. Additionally, it is the top destination for Paraguayan pork meat. He further expressed Taiwan’s intention, as an allied nation, to serve as a gateway for Paraguayan products to other Asian countries.
