Asunción, Agencia IP.- The President of the Republic, Santiago Peña, met with Jamie Dimon, CEO of JP Morgan, to discuss the vast opportunities that Paraguay offers to the world. «I shared the actions we are taking to position Paraguay as a reliable and competitive destination,» emphasized the President.
The meeting took place during President Peña’s official tour of the United States, where he was accompanied by the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Javier Giménez.
During the encounter, they discussed the great opportunities Paraguay offers globally and the future-oriented potential the government is developing.
«I shared the actions we are promoting to position Paraguay as a reliable and competitive destination, combining macroeconomic stability, clear rules, clean energy, and the talent of our people,» Peña stated on his social media.
They also highlighted strategic sectors such as renewable energy, manufacturing, regional logistics, and the sustainable forestry sector, which are positioning Paraguay as a rising global player.
«We continue working with seriousness and commitment to ensure a future full of opportunities for all Paraguayans,» said the Head of State.
Along the same lines, Minister Giménez noted several interesting topics in which JP Morgan, as a bank and partner in this instance, recognized the efforts being made by the Paraguayan Government to boost strategic areas. These private-sector initiatives will drive development, employment, and investment. JP Morgan showed great interest and curiosity in the sectors the government is promoting in this new phase of the global economy.
He also pointed out Paraguay’s strategic approach within the new global context, in an increasingly competitive world. The country’s geographic location, macroeconomic stability, clean energy availability, and openness to trade make it a key hub for relocating industries and regional value chains.
This engagement with JP Morgan is part of the government’s broader agenda to attract investment, generate employment, and consolidate the country’s productive transformation with a long-term vision.
