President Peña and the Indian Prime Minister address areas of strategic alliance between Paraguay and India

Asunción, Agencia IP.- Paraguay is ready to build bridges with India, with a strategic outlook and a commitment to a shared future of sustainable growth, stated President Santiago Peña after meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On the occasion, both leaders highlighted the importance of strengthening bilateral relations.

Continuing his official visit to India, President Peña met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during which they agreed on the importance of deepening bilateral ties.

Peña expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome and shared everything Paraguay has to offer the world: clean and renewable energy, fertile land, abundant fresh water, and a hardworking population committed to development and progress.

They also discussed the need to promote closer cooperation in key sectors such as technology, agriculture, health, education, defense, and science, «guided by the values we share: peace, development, and mutual respect,» Peña emphasized.

For his part, the Indian Prime Minister described the meeting with Peña as productive, stating that Paraguay is a valuable partner in South America and that shared values unite both nations.

«Our talks covered diverse subjects, prime among which was close economic cooperation. There is immense potential in boosting trade linkages. We see sectors such as digital technology, critical minerals, energy, agriculture, health, and space as key areas where our nations can work together,» Narendra Modi shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) account.
