President Peña begins his agenda in India, focused on new opportunities for cooperation and growth

Asunción, Agencia IP.- Yesterday, the President of the Republic, Santiago Peña, began his official visit to India. In this context, the foreign ministers of Paraguay and India signed a memorandum of understanding that lays the groundwork for advancing joint projects that benefit both countries.

Upon his arrival in India, President Peña was received by Shri Harsh Malhotra, the Indian Minister of State representing the government of this great country.

«It is an honor to represent Paraguay on this official visit, which opens new opportunities for cooperation and joint growth with one of the most dynamic economies in the world,» Peña said last Monday through his social media accounts.

As one of his first official meetings, the President of the Republic met with the Foreign Minister of India, Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, with whom he discussed a broad agenda focused on cooperation in technology, science, education, economics, and trade.

As a result of this meeting, the foreign ministers of Paraguay and India signed a memorandum of understanding that strengthens the bilateral relationship and lays the groundwork for advancing joint projects that benefit both countries.

With this historic presidential visit, the Government of Paraguay seeks to consolidate bilateral ties, promote cooperation in key sectors such as renewable energy, technology, agribusiness, infrastructure, and health, and strengthen Paraguay’s image as a strategic investment destination.
