Asunción, Agencia IP.- President Santiago Peña held a meeting with Ashok Hinduja, Chairman of the Hinduja Group, one of the world’s largest and most diversified business conglomerates, with operations in over 100 countries.
The meeting focused on the group’s interest in exploring investment opportunities in Paraguay, particularly in high-growth potential areas such as green hydrogen development, biofuels, agribusiness, outsourced services, electric bus assembly, and the establishment of industrial parks.
These sectors align with the Paraguayan Government’s national strategy for productive and energy transformation.
Ashok Hinduja leads one of South Asia’s most influential conglomerates, known for its innovation, diversification, and sustainability. Under his leadership, the Hinduja Group has expanded globally, combining investment, industrial development, and advanced technological solutions.
Founded in India, the Hinduja Group is active in eleven strategic sectors: automotive, oil and specialty chemicals, banking and finance, information technology and cybersecurity, healthcare, trade, infrastructure development, media and entertainment, energy, and real estate.
Its business structure is designed to create synergies across industries, with a focus on efficiency, growth, and global diversification.
In October 2024, the Hinduja family ranked 11th on Forbes’ list of the 100 wealthiest magnates in India, with an estimated net worth of $22 billion.
In 2022, their net worth reached $32 billion, making them the wealthiest individuals in the United Kingdom at the time.
The family was historically led by Srichand Hinduja, who passed away in May 2023, leaving behind a business and financial legacy of significant global impact.
The possibility of forming partnerships with Paraguay represents a strategic gateway to the Southern Cone for the group, and an opportunity to integrate cleaner, more efficient, and future-oriented production chains, according to the Office of the President.
