Asunción, Agencia IP.- Jaidev Shroff, Chairman and CEO of UPL Limited Group, emphasized that Paraguay is an exceptional country for investment and business growth, based on his company’s experience, which has doubled its assets in the country under the current administration.
Shroff made these remarks following a meeting with President Santiago Peña during the president’s official visit to India.
«One of our favorite countries is Paraguay. Today, we are the second-largest provider of crop protection products in Paraguay, and our business has practically doubled during President Peña’s current administration,» the businessman stated.
He mentioned that during the meeting, he expressed his appreciation to President Peña for the government’s policies, which foster the necessary ecosystem for investment growth.
Shroff described Paraguay as «a paradise island for business» and encouraged the global business community to consider the opportunities it offers seriously.
«It’s something people don’t easily perceive because it seems like a small country surrounded by Argentina and Brazil, but in reality, it’s a fairly large country that deserves to be seen firsthand—it’s an amazing country,» he said.
The businessman also highlighted President Peña’s personal qualities, which contribute to the success of his international investment promotion missions.
«I believe there are many charismatic presidents in the world, and President Santiago Peña is one of the most captivating, welcoming, and hospitable. It’s incredible to have leaders like him,» Shroff affirmed, underscoring the strength of his leadership.
