Asunción, Agencia IP.- As of the end of June this year, beef exports registered by the National Animal Health and Quality Service (Senacsa) reached US$ 1,056,135,495, exceeding last year’s figures for the same period by 37%.
This amount represents the highest six-month export revenue ever recorded and nearly doubles the average figures seen up to 2020, when income per semester did not exceed US$ 500 million.
The volume of beef exports has shown constant growth. Compared to last year, 17.5% more beef was exported in the first half of 2025.
One of the most significantly growing markets is Taiwan, which, by the end of June, had become Paraguay’s second most important market for beef, having purchased over 25 million kilograms, valued at more than US$ 151 million.
Chile remains the leading destination for Paraguayan beef, having acquired over 57 million kilograms in the last six months, for a total value exceeding US$ 343 million.
Other key markets include the United States (19.8 million kg exported), Israel (15.8 million kg), and Brazil (10 million kg).
Pork and poultry exports
In the pork sector, Taiwan stands out as the main destination, receiving 83% of all exports, valued at US$ 18.3 million. In total, the pork sector exported products worth US$ 22 million in the first half of the year, with other destinations including Uruguay, Brazil, and Georgia.
As for poultry exports—including meat, giblets, and offal—US$ 5.5 million worth of products were exported to diverse destinations such as Iraq, Albania, Vietnam, Angola, Georgia, and Ghana, among others.
