Asunción, Agencia IP.- Entrepreneur Klaus Kotschy, through the company Microcultura SRL, which is currently in the process of being established, is committed to sustainable development in the forestry sector by offering high-quality seedling production and technical support for reforestation and the restoration of degraded soils in the region.
Kotschy has announced an initial investment of USD 72,639. However, it is expected that the figure will increase significantly as the operational structure is consolidated and services expand nationwide.
In line with Paraguay’s growing appeal as a destination for sustainability-focused investments, Villarrica will host this new international initiative, which is expected to have a high environmental and productive impact.
The new company aims to provide innovative solutions in the production of genetically superior seedlings, along with specialized technical services for sustainable land management.
Ernesto Rojas, Director of Investments and Special Regimes at Suace, noted that the entrepreneur’s decision followed a market study that revealed strong demand for forestry services—particularly those related to soil restoration, compliance with environmental regulations, and carbon offset programs.
«The Microcultura SRL project aims to close this gap by combining the supply of quality seedlings with technical assistance and sustainable follow-up in areas with high deforestation rates and limited institutional coverage,» Rojas explained.
He also highlighted that the project is being developed in partnership with the Paraguayan company La Rivera, owned by Andreas Jelinek, which already operates in the forestry, reforestation, and livestock sectors in the Villarrica region.
With this initiative, Paraguay adds a new foreign capital venture with a positive environmental impact in a strategic region for sustainable forestry development, further strengthening its position as an attractive destination for investments committed to sustainability and regional development.
