Asunción, Agencia IP.- The President of the Republic, Santiago Peña, arrived in Helsinki, Finland, to carry out an official and business agenda. The mission aims to deepen bilateral cooperation in industrial development, sustainability, digital transformation, and advanced manufacturing, with a special focus on the forestry and energy sectors.

The President arrived yesterday in Finland’s capital, Helsinki, for his official visit, which will last until August 1.

In this context, the President of Finland, Alexander Stubb, will receive Santiago Peña at the Presidential Palace today, where they will discuss bilateral relations between Finland and Paraguay, as well as matters related to security policy in Europe and Latin America, global challenges, and support for the multilateral system.

During his stay in the country, Santiago Peña is also expected to attend the upcoming World Rally Championship (WRC) round scheduled for July 31, which will also take place in Itapúa, Paraguay, at the end of August.

«We are also going to get a close-up look at what is a major tourist attraction industry, thanks to the World Rally. Here in Finland, it’s taking place this week. We’re going to have a very intense schedule,» he concluded.
