Asunción, Agencia IP.- The interest of Korean businesspeople in investing in the country and the possibility of providing institutional support in migration procedures to obtain legal residency in Paraguay were analyzed during a working meeting between the authorities of the National Directorate of Migration and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Paraguay.
This initiative takes place within the framework of the government’s policy aimed at attracting foreign investment by reducing bureaucratic processes and ensuring legal certainty to promote new business opportunities.
During the meeting, held at the Migration headquarters, participants examined mechanisms of inter-institutional cooperation focused on simplifying and making procedures more transparent, ensuring that investors can settle and operate in Paraguay with full legal security.
They also presented the current procedures and requirements for obtaining legal residency.
In this context, the role of the Unified System for the Opening and Closing of Companies (SUACE) was highlighted as a one-stop window to streamline the process of obtaining residency for foreign investors, to facilitate and accelerate the first necessary step for the formal establishment of their ventures, in accordance with national regulations.
The meeting was chaired by Jorge Kronawetter, National Director of Migration, with the presence of the Chargé d’Affaires of the Korean Embassy, Dong Gun Seo, along with his diplomatic delegation.
