Paraguay and Qatar formalize a cooperative instrument on social affairs

Asunción, Agencia IP.- The Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the field of Social Affairs between the Ministry of Social Development of the Republic of Paraguay and the Ministry of Social Development and Family of the State of Qatar was signed within the framework of a bilateral meeting held during the 2nd World Summit on Social Development, held last week in Doha, Qatar.

This instrument provides for the exchange of experiences, information, and studies for social development in various areas. Juan José Galeano, Ministerial Advisor to the Presidency of the Republic for Social and Economic Affairs, signed the Memorandum on behalf of Paraguay and the Ministry of Social Development.

During the bilateral meeting, Minister Galeano thanked Qatar for its hospitality and expressed Paraguay’s interest in bilateral cooperation with Qatar, particularly in the exchange of experiences in the area of social policies.

Authorities from both countries agreed on the importance of strengthening inter-institutional coordination in response to the practical challenges involved.

Upon the conclusion of the signing, the Minister of Social Development and Family of the State of Qatar, Buthaina bint Ali Al-Jabr Al-Nuaimi, reaffirmed the importance of keeping social development as a priority on the political agendas of the countries.

The Paraguayan delegation concluded its participation in the 2nd World Summit on Social Development with significant results, both in the multilateral and bilateral spheres, focusing on improving the quality of life of Paraguayans, with a leading role on the international stage.
