Paraguay condemns the Iranian attacks and expresses its solidarity to affected countries

Asunción, Agencia IP.- Foreign Minister Rubén Ramírez Lezcano spoke with his counterparts from the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, reaffirming Paraguay’s condemnation of the Iranian aggression against these countries and conveying the government’s solidarity with each of them.

Foreign Minister Rubén Ramírez Lezcano held telephone conversations with his counterparts from the United Arab Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan; the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah; the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Adel Aljubeir; and the State of Qatar, Soltan bin Saad Al-Muraikhi, with whom he discussed the delicate situation their respective countries are facing.

On this occasion, the Foreign Minister also reaffirmed Paraguay’s condemnation of the Iranian aggression against these countries and conveyed the government’s solidarity with each of them. He also pledged all multilateral efforts to eradicate terrorism and the regimes that support it.

The Paraguayan Embassy in Qatar reported last Monday that Qatari and Kuwaiti airspace remains closed for security reasons and that air defenses continue to intercept Iranian attacks, which are no longer solely targeting US military bases. Domestically, authorities have taken timely measures to protect the population.

So far, no Paraguayans have been affected, the diplomatic mission stated.
