Asunción, Agencia IP.- The Republic of Paraguay has expressed its solidarity and support for the people of Israel amid the deplorable attack initiated by the Islamic Republic of Iran, which exposes the region and the world to an unprecedented escalation of conflict, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In the statement, Paraguay acknowledges Israel’s legitimate right to self-defense and condemns these attacks on the civilian population, reaffirming the firm commitment to combat terrorism in all its forms.
«Paraguay is committed to working with the international community to prevent a worsening of the current situation,» the text released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reads.
President of the Republic, Santiago Peña, also expressed support for the Israeli people and concern over the escalation of violence in the Middle East.
«In these difficult hours, we express our full support for the people of Israel and are concerned about the increase in violence in the region. We remain in contact with our regional embassies to assist our compatriots,» he said through his social media channels.
