Asunción, Agencia IP.- The Central Bank of Paraguay announced that starting this week, it will conduct daily sales of at least USD 15 million to address recent exchange rate volatility.
«Given the recent volatility in the exchange rate, as a result of increased uncertainty in the international arena and due to seasonal factors, the Central Bank of Paraguay will intervene in the foreign exchange market with daily sales of at least USD 15 million starting next week,» the central bank stated in a release last Friday.
The dollar exchange rate has constantly increased in recent weeks, reaching 8,000 guaraníes per dollar on Thursday.
