Paraguay set a record with over 350 million kilos of beef exports in 2024

Asunción, Agencia IP.- Paraguay closed 2024 with a record-breaking performance in beef exports, reaching 353,016,722 kilograms shipped to 59 markets worldwide. This generated $1,776,828,610 in revenue for the sector.

The volume exported in 2024 continues a steady growth trend in Paraguayan beef shipments, which have surpassed 300 million kilos annually since 2021. Chile was the largest buyer, purchasing over 120 million kilosof Paraguayan beef during the year. Other key markets included Taiwan, Brazil, Israel, the United States, and Russia, collectively accounting for 75% of total exports.

A record was also set in cattle slaughter, with 22,213,203 cattle processed in 2024. The processing plants with the highest volumes were Belén, with 36,759 cattle, and Concepción, with 21,094 cattle. Additionally, Paraguay achieved a historic milestone in the export of bovine by-products, such as offal, with nearly 70 million kilosshipped over the year.

These achievements underscore the strength of Paraguay’s beef sector, driven by its quality, traceability, and global competitiveness, positioning the country as a reliable supplier for high-standard markets worldwide.
