Asunción, Agencia IP.- As part of the delegation accompanying German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, businesspeople from Germany met with the Paraguayan Minister of Industry and Commerce (MIC), Javier Giménez, to explore investment opportunities in sectors such as meat, grains, energy, forestry, logistics, and manufacturing.
The Minister highlighted that Paraguay is one of the largest exporters of clean and renewable energy, «but we want to change that with projects that industrialize it here.»
Speaking about the forestry sector, Minister Giménez pointed out competitive advantages such as the climate and soil, which enable exceptional forest growth compared to other regions, according to the MIC report.
The delegation included representatives from leading companies in areas such as environmental energy technology, investment management, the automotive sector, alternative energy, software and digitalization, and renewable fuels.
Minister Giménez was accompanied by MIC Vice Ministers Rodrigo Maluff (Trade and Services), Marco Riquelme (Industry), and Mauricio Bejarano, Vice Minister of Mines and Energy from the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC).
