Asunción, Agencia IP.- The president of the National Service for Animal Quality and Health (Senacsa), José Carlos Martin, held a closing meeting for the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) audit, which concluded this Wednesday. The visit focused on verifying Paraguay’s animal health controls and food safety standards in preparation for the potential opening of that market.
During the meeting, the Senacsa President provided additional information that was requested throughout the inspection visits. At the same time, the auditors presented the preliminary results of their evaluation.
The Singapore Food Agency auditors also met with representatives from Paraguay’s productive and industrial sectors in the Senacsa auditorium to exchange information regarding the market access process.
Senacsa President José Carlos Martin and general directors attended the event, along with Daniel Prieto, Head of the Paraguayan Rural Association; Randy Ross, president of the Paraguayan Meat Chamber; and representatives from the Paraguayan Poultry Farmers Association, the Paraguayan Pig Breeders Association, and export slaughterhouses.
During the meeting, private sector representatives presented on Paraguay’s beef, pork, and poultry industries. In turn, the auditors shared information about the meat industry in Singapore and the accreditation procedures for exporting poultry, pork, and beef products, according to Senacsa.
