Paraguay explores technological innovation opportunities in Taiwan

Asunción, Agencia IP.- A delegation from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MIC), led by the Vice Minister of MSMEs, Gustavo Giménez, and the Paraguayan Ambassador to Taiwan, José Fleitas, visited companies in Taipei, Taiwan, focused on implementing artificial intelligence and industrializing the textile sector.

This visit is part of the strategic agenda to strengthen technological and industrial cooperation between Paraguay and Taiwan and the Taiwan Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence Program for MSMEs, ICDF, within the framework of the FOMIPYMES cooperation initiative.

At the ASUS headquarters, a presentation was held on potential collaborations to implement artificial intelligence projects in Paraguay, leveraging the country’s clean energy and favorable economic environment.

The Paraguayan delegation learned about projects developed between ASUS and the Taiwanese government, with a particular interest in creating cloud-based AI infrastructure, promoting AI talent through Paraguay GPT, and developing high-value-added applications.

The Paraguayan Ambassador to Taiwan, Rediex’s Commercial Attaché Macarena Barboza, AI specialists, and the CEO of ASUS attended the meeting.

Later, the delegation visited the Taiwan Textile Federation, where they were introduced to smart factory models, production processes using recycled materials such as coffee-based textiles, and improvements in processes and talent development through the use of AI.
