On September 3 and 4, the capital city will host the 16th Ibero-American Insurance Summit. This high-level event will bring together leaders, experts, and key figures from the insurance industry across Latin America and Spain to discuss the sector’s main challenges, opportunities, and trends.
Organized by the Ibero-American Insurance Alliance Foundation (FIAS), the summit will provide a unique platform to explore how global trends shape regional markets and how insurance can become a stronger catalyst for economic and social progress in Ibero-America.
In an exclusive interview with the Tribuna program on Paraguay TV, Pasqual Llongueras, General Director and Vice President of FIAS, emphasized the importance of the event and the choice of Asunción as the host city. «Insurance is the guarantee of a country in growth,» he stated, underscoring the connection between insurance protection and sustainable development. Llongueras also highlighted the «huge growth potential» that Paraguay represents, describing its people as «those who want to grow and are at the forefront.»
Llongueras sees insurance as more than a financial transaction—it’s a tool that brings «emotion and hope» to people by offering security and enabling more stable life planning. His journey from Catalonia to leading the Foundation has made him an influential voice in the Ibero-American insurance sector.
Gabriel Mysler, Content Director of the FIAS Summits, previewed an ambitious agenda addressing key topics such as innovation, the impact of technology, sustainability, and the social role of insurance. The summit aims to position itself as a strategic platform for fostering partnerships, sharing best practices, and generating proposals that promote inclusive and resilient growth within the sector.
