Singapore opens its doors to Paraguayan egg exports

Asunción, Agencia IP.- Paraguay marks a milestone in its foreign trade with the approval for the export of domestically produced eggs to Singapore. This announcement follows the recent opening of the meat market after President Santiago Peña’s visit.

The confirmation came from José Martin Camperchioli, president of the National Animal Health and Quality Service (Senacsa), who highlighted that the approval process for eggs was finalized, following efforts boosted by President Santiago Peña’s recent visit to Singapore.

«The inclusion of our eggs in the Singaporean market, alongside our meat products, strengthens Paraguay’s credibility in animal health. This is the result of rigorous and consistent work that allows us to reach highly demanding markets such as Singapore, the United States, and Canada,» said Camperchioli.

Singapore represents a potential market of 900 million dollars for Paraguayan agricultural and livestock production. On May 23, the approval for the export of beef, pork, and poultry was announced during the first day of President Santiago Peña’s official agenda in the Asian country.

Paraguay’s strong credibility in animal health is a key factor facilitating access to these highly regulated destinations, Camperchioli emphasized.

Expansion to new markets

In addition to Singapore, Senacsa is making advanced efforts to export Paraguayan products to other markets. In this regard, exports to Chile are expected to be finalized in the coming days, further expanding the country’s commercial horizons.

Looking ahead, Dr. Martin Camperchioli announced that thanks to Senacsa’s efforts, Paraguay will host the Regional Conference for the Americas of the World Organisation for Animal Health next year. This major global event will attract representatives from over 100 countries, placing Paraguay on the world stage and offering a unique opportunity to showcase the country’s progress in animal health.
