Paraguayan Ambassador presents credentials to President Donald Trump

Asunción, Agencia IP.- The Paraguayan ambassador to the United States, Gustavo Leite, presented his credentials to President Donald Trump on Friday, September 5, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported last Sunday.

The presentation of credentials took place in a ceremony in Washington, D.C.

After the ceremony, Ambassador Leite conveyed the message of the Paraguayan Government regarding the need to deepen a strategic alliance with a bilateral agenda focused on the prosperity of citizens and entrepreneurs in both countries.

During his swearing-in in Paraguay, Leite had stated that his work as a diplomatic representative would prioritize educational, scientific, and technological cooperation, noting that he would seek to triple the number of Paraguayan undergraduate and postgraduate students in the United States.

He emphasized the importance of increasing U.S. investment in Paraguay, expanding bilateral trade and cooperation in defense and security, and strengthening democracy and republican values, as well as fostering a shared vision in foreign policy.
