Radio France Internationale highlights Rally Paraguay’s global standing after a historic 2025

Asunción, Agencia IP.- Radio France Internationale highlighted the global standing achieved by Rally Paraguay, calling it the best in the world following its outstanding 2025 edition, which was recognized by the International Automobile Federation (FIA).

During the program «El Deportivo,» the station emphasized that Paraguay had established itself among the elite of international motorsport in record time, driven by an organization that combined sporting excellence, innovation, and international reach. This recognition is further enhanced by a distinction in sustainable sports tourism awarded by UN Tourism in conjunction with the FIA.

In an interview with the international media outlet, the event’s executive director, César Marsal, emphasized that the achievement is the result of a year’s planning and comprehensive work that went beyond the purely sporting aspects.

«The rally was planned with a solid sporting foundation, and then distinctive elements were incorporated, such as an innovative symbolic start and an awards ceremony with national identity,» he explained.

Marsal also highlighted the key role of the Paraguayan State in organizing the event, noting that the support of the Government, led by President Santiago Peña, was crucial in guaranteeing logistical, security, and operational aspects.

«Government support was fundamental. There was coordinated work between the central, departmental, and municipal levels that allowed us to achieve this result,» he stated.

Another aspect valued was the rally’s international impact, which was broadcast in more than 120 countries, solidifying its role as a tool for positioning the country’s brand. According to Marsal, this recognition sparked the interest of international teams and drivers, who are now looking to participate in future editions.

The behavior of the Paraguayan public was also highlighted as a distinguishing factor. According to the organizer, the fans demonstrated exemplary behavior, contributing to a positive experience for both competitors and visitors.

In environmental terms, the event also set a precedent with sustainable actions, such as transforming a landfill into part of the competition circuit, a key initiative for gaining international recognition in sustainable sports tourism.

Looking ahead, the organization plans to consolidate Rally Paraguay as a permanent fixture on the world championship calendar and further elevate its competitive level. Among the planned innovations is the expansion of the route, aimed at making it one of the longest in the championship.

«The challenge now is to create the best rally in WRC history,» Marsal concluded.
