Rally of Paraguay strengthens communication strategy ahead of WRC 2026

Bella Vista, Agencia IP.- In an effort to strengthen a coordinated communication strategy supporting the organization of the World Rally Championship (WRC) Rally of Paraguay 2026, communication professionals from public institutions and municipalities across the department of Itapúa participated on Thursday in a communication enhancement workshop held at the Bella Vista Municipal Hall.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies (MITIC) and featured the CEO of Rally Paraguay, César Marsal, along with approximately 60 journalists from Itapúa and the Argentine city of Posadas, who also attended a press conference on preparations for the international event.

The workshop brought together communication officers from various government institutions and municipalities along the rally route, creating a space for training, experience exchange, and the joint development of strategies to maximize the event’s visibility.

Topics discussed included the coordination of institutional messaging, content management, media relations, and the importance of projecting a strong and coherent image of Paraguay ahead of the arrival of thousands of visitors, racing teams, international media representatives, and motorsport enthusiasts from around the world.

Media accreditation process

During the event, organizers announced that the media accreditation process for the WRC Rally of Paraguay 2026 will begin on June 27.

For national media outlets, the registration period will remain open until August 7, while international media will have until August 13 to submit their applications. Accreditation credentials must be collected in person on August 24 at Turista Róga in Encarnación.

Detailed information and accreditation requirements will be published soon on the event’s official website.

Integrated communication to maximize impact

The participation of institutional communication directors and officers is part of a broader strategy to strengthen coordination among government agencies, recognizing that the success of the Rally of Paraguay extends beyond sports and presents an opportunity to position the country as a destination capable of hosting world-class events.

Participants agreed that coordinated communication will be essential to amplifying the championship’s impact, showcasing Paraguay’s organizational capabilities, and reinforcing the reputation the country has built through the successful hosting of major international events in recent years.

The workshop also fostered collaboration among communicators from the various localities along the rally route, helping to establish a network that will support the different stages of the event’s preparation and execution.

The WRC Rally of Paraguay 2026 will take place from August 27 to 30 in the department of Itapúa and represents one of the most significant organizational challenges ever undertaken by the country in motorsports. With global visibility and international participation, the event is expected to once again place Paraguay in the international spotlight.
