A businessman from Korea interested in importing chicken feet from Paraguay

Asunción, Agencia IP.- The businessman Nino Ha announced that he is working to export chicken feet from Paraguay to South Korea. He stated that there is a great demand for this product in Asian countries, where it is appreciated for its properties for the skin, such as collagen.

«In Korea, there is a demand for nearly 1.000 tons of chicken feet, but that quantity has not yet been produced in Paraguay. Nevertheless, alternatives of reaching an interesting quantity can be considered», said Ha at the TV Program Tribuna, broadcast by Paraguay TV.

The chicken’s feet are rich in collagen, a protein that helps to maintain the skin and bones healthy. Besides, it is a source of vitamins and minerals, such as vitamin B12, iron, and zinc.

In South Korea, chicken feet are often grilled with spicy sauce and charcoal and are a popular dish in major restaurants. Ha is also working to export other Paraguayan products to South Korea, such as beef, which is awaiting the conclusion of agreements for its authorization.

Charcoal made in Paraguay

A Paraguayan product assured at the South Korean market is charcoal, imported massively through several containers. For 2024, it aims to reach 100 tons per month, which equals a placement of 1,200,000 kilograms of Made in Paraguay coal per year in Korea.

«I want more Paraguayan products to be consumed in Korea. Many hidden things in Paraguay can be valued in Korea», said Ha.

The businessman recalled participating in a very important fair in Korea, where he presented Paraguayan charcoal. «Everyone came to see him. They were surprised when they learned that this raw restaurant material can be found in Paraguay,» he stated.

Ha believes that as Koreans learn more about Paraguayan products, there will be more demand for them. «If Paraguayan meat is enabled in Korea, there will be a lot of entry because South Korea is a country where beef is costly, and when this food enters the market, many Koreans will be interested in purchasing Paraguayan meat,» he assured.
