Asunción, Agencia IP.- Executives from Apple met with President Santiago Peña and Government authorities this week to discuss sustainable supply chain investment projects in Paraguay.
Peña welcomed Apple’s Vice President of Environment, Sarah Chandler, on Thursday, the 14th. The tech giant plans to support sustainable investment initiatives, as announced by the President on his X account.
According to the Ministry of the Environment, the investments will be channeled through the Arbaro Fund. The investment capital fund is already involved in projects in our country, expanding eucalyptus monoculture alongside livestock production in the San Pedro department.
Apple’s Vice President of Environment highlighted that Paraguay presents significant investment opportunities in sustainable businesses due to its biodiversity and natural capital.
President Santiago Peña engaged in discussions with executives from the U.S. company during his agenda at the United Nations General Assembly in September.
