Argentina started to liberate gas trucks detained on their way to Paraguay

Asunción, Agencia IP.- Four of the twenty trucks charged with gas that Argentinian Customs detained on their way to Paraguay received the authorization to enter Paraguayan territory. It is expected that the others will follow the same during the day, informed the National Director of  Tax Revenue, Oscar Orué.

During an interview with the National Radio of Paraguay, Orué informed him that the good news was confirmed during a telephonic conversation with his Argentine counterpart. He indicated that to get the authorization after one of the trucks was detained for a week in the Argentinian Customs, there was intense work by the Paraguayan Chancellery and specifically the Paraguayan consul who was in the Customs managing the release of the trucks.

“The argument that was provided to me (for the detention) is that they did not have authorization from the Ministry of Energy and were verifying a potential undervaluation of the transported products,” Orué explained.

He pointed out that at that moment, “what is important is to maintain the dialogue and try to solve this as soon as possible”. “We will be waiting for the liberation of the other trucks, hoping that each of them will be today”, he added.
