Asunción, Agencia IP.- The epicenter of FIFA Futsal on the continental level will again be in Paraguay. Conmebol has confirmed Asunción as the host city for the upcoming FIFA Futsal America Cup 2024, providing the continent’s teams an opportunity to compete for one of the four spots in the next World Cup in Uzbekistan.
After successfully hosting the 2022 edition, Paraguay is set to host the most significant continental tournament for national teams again. After Conmebol’s official confirmation, the FIFA Futsal America Cup 2024 will take place on Paraguayan grounds for the second consecutive time, scheduled for February next year.
The organization that brings together South American federations has unveiled the dates for various regional tournaments, marking them on the calendar for the 2024 season. Paraguay was selected as the host country for the 13th edition of the Conmebol FIFA Futsal America Cup 2024.
The national team is considered one of the favorites to win the cup, given their performance in the previous edition, where they reached the final and secured the second position after conceding to Argentina (the reigning world champion). Following the Copa America, the South American representatives for the FIFA World Cup in Uzbekistan will be determined.
