For the last five years, the Paraguayan Paddle Federation has been promoting a process of development in the disciplines from all over the country, which translated into the world title of the junior category achieved in the last ecumenical event and, on this occasion, will be defended by the national team.

In September 2021, our country won the Juniors World Paddle Championship in Mexico. Samuel Rodríguez, Sebastián Rodríguez, Facundo Dehnike, and Genaro Campuzano earned the World Champions in Mexican lands.

Two years later, the national team will defend the title at home, hosting one of the most anticipated world events for the young athletes cultivating this exciting discipline.

Why will Asunción be the host?

The “Mother of Cities” was chosen to host the championship thanks to the effort made by the Paraguayan Paddle Federation and the American Paddle Federation. The location selection has two main factors that helped this decision: First, the Paraguayan’s national selection is the current junior world champion. The second reason is the recent antecedent of the World Paddle Tour circuit. Paraguay left pleasant impressions with the excellent work carried out.

Historically, Paraguay will host the “FIP Juniors Paddle World Championship” since 90% of the championships took place in Europe, once in North America and now, for the first time, in South America.

The competition will count on the presence of athletes from Paraguay, Argentina, Mexico, Italy, Brazil, France, Chile, the United States of America, Uruguay, Belgium, Egypt, Spain, Ecuador, the United Arab Emirates, Sweden and Portugal, counting on 16 masculine teams and 14 feminine.
