Lince Group receives 600 new motorcycles to strengthen street security

Asunción, Agencia IP.- On Friday, the Paraguayan Government received 600 motorcycles for the Lince Group donated by the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) to strengthen security on the streets.

The presentation of the motorcycles took place on Friday morning on the Palacio de López, with the presence of the Head of State, Santiago Peña, and other authorities.

On this occasion, the Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan), José Chih-Cheng Han, mentioned that with these 600 motorcycles, they intend to strengthen the activities of the Lince Group and, consequently, through preventive patrolling, combat crime and provide peace to Paraguayan families.

«A firm friendship between our Governments»

«This cooperation is a solid demonstration of the firm friendship between our Governments. Taiwan will continue to closely support President Peña’s efforts to make Paraguay safer and more prosperous,» said the Ambassador.

For his part, the President thanked the Taiwanese Ambassador for the constant support given to Paraguay. «Today, we are celebrating the success of a coordinated operation,» he emphasized.

They project completing 1,000 Lince motorcycles

The leader explained that the goal is to triple the staffing of the Lince Group next year as part of the strategy to make the country safer, and to that end, it is planned to complete a batch of 1,000 motorcycles.

He admitted that the development of a nation requires a complex process. In that context, he affirmed that security is necessary to promote the country’s growth. «There is no nation in the history of humanity that has been able to develop without security,» he reinforced.

During his speech, the President expressed enthusiasm for realizing the reinforcement of the Lince Group, a goal established from day one of his administration.

Finally, Peña said that the Paraguayan State puts all its hopes that this training they received, along with the equipment, are the tools for millions of Paraguayans to feel secure that the National Police is taking care of them and will go after those who make the wrong decision to go outside the law.
