Asunción, Agencia IP.- The Minister of Economy and Finances, Carlos Fernández, will participate in the Annual Meetings 2023 of the World Bank Group (WBG) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which started yesterday and will extend until October 15. The activities will take place in Marrakech, Kingdom of Morocco.
The Minister also has planned meetings with the Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), Mathías Cormann. Also, with the Development Assistance Committee (DAC), depending on the OECD, in Paris, France. The official mission will extend until October 18.
The Minister Carlos Fernández Valdovinos is the Governor representing Paraguay in the IMF, the WBG and other multilateral organisms.
Through Decree 468 on October 5, the Presidency of the Republic authorized the travel of Minister Fernández Valdovinos. The Vice Minister of Human Capital and Organizational Management, Andrea Picaso, was assigned as a substitute Minister of Economy and Finances while the titular is absent.
