Asunción, Agencia IP.- The National Defense Council (Codena) held a meeting on Monday at Mburuvichá Roga, chaired by the President of the Republic, Santiago Peña, and with Dr. Evan Ellis, a professor at the Strategic Studies Institute (SSI) of the U.S. Army War College, as a guest, who shared his experiences in the security system.
In addition to the head of state, other members of the National Defense Council participated in the meeting, including the Minister of Defense, Oscar González, and the Minister of the Interior, Enrique Riera, among others.
«With the National Defense Council (Codena), we received Dr. Evan Ellis, a professor at the Strategic Studies Institute (SSI) of the U.S. Army War College, to exchange experiences and discuss challenges in national security,» Peña reported through his account on X.
At the end of the meeting, there were no statements to the press; however, sources from the Presidency reported the topics discussed, namely experiences and challenges in security matters, which were later confirmed by Peña himself through the aforementioned social network, accompanied by photographs of the meeting.
