New agents integrate Lince Group to safeguard security on the streets

Asunción, Agencia IP.- Lince Group incorporates a new group of 55 specialized police officers who have successfully culminated the formation course. From now on, they will work in public spaces and streets to carry out patrols, thus counteract urbanized crime.

The graduation ceremony took place this Friday in Mariano Roque Alonso, with the Head of State, Santiago Peña and other national authorities. Likewise, the VII Course in Motorized Tactical Operations of the National Police also officially began, which involves some 600 officers.

Fifty-three Paraguayan sub-officers of the National Police and two Peruvians participated in this formation, developed by the Centre of Formation and Instruction of the Motorized Tactical Operations Unit (UOTM Lince).

Reinforcement of the officers will strengthen Lince Group

On this occasion, the Interim Commander of the National Police, Carlos Humberto Benítez, said that the new reinforcement contingent would allow the Lince Group to be strengthened and to provide greater security to citizens in the city of Asunción and Central department, as well as in other locations that require more significant presence and patrolling of said security elements.

Benítez explained that increasing the human resources to perform this work will become a compelling element to counteract urbanized crime. “We appreciate the President’s support to this security entity. We extend this recognition to the Minister and value the technical assistance and logistical support provided by the Binational Entity Yacyretá,” commented.

Benítez encouraged the new graduates to offer their most outstanding effort to comply with the police mission, acting strictly and per the provisions of the National Constitution and observance of human rights.

“I encourage the new aspirants to keep the spirit of sacrifice, honesty and abnegation. Society expects so much from each of you, and you have been chosen to carry out such a noble mission in the representation of the police institution”, expressed.

Training of another 600 officers

The Head of Lince Group, Gustavo Ruíz Díaz, claimed that today was celebrated a moment of vital importance in the history of the Unit, the culmination of the VI National Motorized Special Operations Course, a milestone that marks the graduation of new Lince agents, thus strengthening the mission of guaranteeing security in the country.

In this context, he highlighted that next week, the training of 600 police officers who will be a part of the Group Lince staff started, on an effort to double their forces and provide greater ease to the people. “We are committed to fulfilling this mission with excellence and determination,” he said.
