Asunción, Agencia IP.- Asunciónico, one of the country’s most important festivals, is set to feature 43 bands and artists across three stages on March 19, 20, and 21 at the Parque Olímpico, located in Access Ñu Guazú. Some artists who will perform include Blink-182, Feid, Arcade Fire, Limp Bizkit, The Offspring, Trueno, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Jungle, Grupo Frontera, and Diplo.
The first day of the 2024 edition of Asunciónico is led by the internationally acclaimed pop-punk band Blink-182, which is returning to global stages, along with the iconic nu-metal and rap-metal band Limp Bizkit from the USA.
Also featured on this day are the alternative rock band Thirty Seconds to Mars and the renowned Brazilian DJ ALOK. Catupecu Machu from Argentina and Flou, a celebrated national rock band, will add a touch of Latin American rock.
Additionally, the American alternative rock duo The Driver Area, rock singer and songwriter Dayglow, and the nation’s most representative ska punk band, Ripe Banana Skins, complete the lineup for this date alongside 1915 from Argentina and national bands such as Nhandei Zha, Sobre Ondas, Pornstars, and Par & The Jurassic Band.
On the second day, the lineup is led by the Canadian indie rock band Arcade Fire and the long-awaited American punk rock band The Offspring, both making their debut on Paraguayan land.
Also featured are Argentine rapper Trueno, the British musical collective Jungle, specializing in electronic, R&B, soul, and funk, and the American DJ and producer Diplo, who explores various genres. Completing this date are the Colombian pop band TIMØ, the Buenos Aires soul group Nafta, and outstanding national talents such as El Culto Caseo, Purahéi Soul, Deficiente, Funk’Chula, Ciudad Mansa, Per Se, and the Goldie Oldie Party.
As for the third day of this grand 2024 edition of Asunciónico, it is headlined by Feid, the current Colombian sensation and global chart-topper known as Ferxxo, and Grupo Frontera, the American musical band specializing in northern cumbia and regional Mexican music.
Additionally, electronic music is represented on this date by the prestigious British DJ trio Above & Beyond, along with Timmy Trumps, the renowned Australian DJ. The lineup is completed by the acclaimed national band Kchiporros, Spanish reggaeton, pop, and trap artist Saiko, Argentine rap and freestyle scene representative Acru, along with the French DJ Dombresky and the most outstanding and fresh talents from the local scene, including Japiaguar, Milkshake, Basstian, El Princi, Ana Celina, Fabu Pop, and Yami.
With a lineup of top-tier artists spanning various genres, the sixth edition of Paraguay’s most significant festival promises to be the year’s event.
