Paraguay appoints new Ambassador to Israel who announces an ambitious work plan

Asunción, Agencia IP.- The Executive Branch issued Decree 925, appointing Mr. Alejandro Rubín Cymerman as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the State of Israel. The Diplomat announced an ambitious work plan focused on economic diplomacy.

Rubín Cymerman, who had served as an Honorary Consul to Israel since 2013, described his appointment as «a significant commitment» that he would approach with great responsibility.

«There is much to be done; I presented a rather ambitious work plan, but definitely, the President of the Republic has a vision that I fully share, which is one of economic diplomacy,» he said in an interview with the GEN channel.

He estimated that by the end of January, he would have to travel to Israel, where he intends to strengthen existing ties and establish new ones that will benefit Paraguay. «Israel is a cutting-edge country in technology and highly complementary to Paraguay. All the links that will be created through the embassy will be very beneficial for us,» he expressed.

He also highlighted President Santiago Peña’s commitment to return the Paraguayan Embassy to Jerusalem, which he considered «a very important step» that «brings both countries much closer.»
