Paraguay is close to export the first shipments of boneless beef to Canada

Asunción, Agencia IP.- The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has informed the National Service for Quality and Animal Health (Senacsa) that all recommendations made during the audit of Paraguay’s beef inspection system and animal health controls conducted at the end of 2022 have been successfully addressed.

The official communication from the Canadian agency states that all responses to these recommendations are considered and accepted, marking their closure. This confirmation establishes the sanitary equivalence between both countries.

The following steps involve the approval of the sanitary certificate and endorsing the list of establishments eligible for the export of boneless beef.

A final statement issued by the National Veterinary Service mentions that following these last procedures, the first shipments will receive authorization to depart in the coming weeks.
