Paraguay obtained the gold medal in the Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympics of Panamá

Asunción, Agencia IP.- The Paraguayan team that participates until today in the XV Olimpycs of Astronomy and Astrophysics in Panamá obtained the gold medal. The competition is from October 9 until today in David, Chiriquí.

The gold medal went to the young man, Juan Ángel Venega Martínez, a San Antonio de Padua School student in San Lorenzo, Barcequillo. 

The young Jonatan Agüero and Guzmán Rodríguez, also high school students, were recognized with the Honorable Mention.

Besides Paraguay, teams from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Dominic Republic, Uruguay and Panamá are also participating in this edition.

From this Olympic beginning, Paraguay had obtained four gold medals, 16 silver medals, 35 bronze medals, and 15 honour mentions, with the one obtained today being the 5th Gold medal and 17th honour mention.
