Asunción, Agencia IP.- President Santiago Peña held a meeting with the President of Ukraine, Volodimir Zelenski, an occasion in which Paraguay provided «all its support» to the European country.
The Paraguayan President published on his X account about today’s meeting in Buenos Aires: «I spoke with Volodimir Zelenski, President of Ukraine, to whom we gave all our support. Paraguay reaffirms its commitment to peace and respect for the people’s sovereignty.»
The President of Ukraine arrived this Sunday in the Argentine capital to attend the investiture ceremony of Javier Milei, the new President of this country.
Zelensky posted on his X account about his conversation with Emanuel Macron, President of France, about the needs of his country on the war front with Russia’s and France’s support. He also referred to the recommendations that Ukraine has fulfilled for its entry into the European Union, which would be discussed at the next summit of the bloc’s leaders.
Since February 2022, the invasion of Russian military forces has taken place in the Donbas region, where there are two self-proclaimed sovereign states on Ukrainian territory. The invasion and bombers left a migration of 7.2 million Ukrainians on the European continent.
