National Mechanisms for Implementation, Reporting, and Follow-up of International Recommendations on Human Rights (NMIRFs) emerge as a key tool to coordinate the preparation of reports and promote the monitoring and implementation of human rights commitments at the national level.

The meeting will be structured around presentations, group discussions, and plenary sessions addressing topics such as information management systems and tools of various types of National Mechanisms; identification of opportunities for cooperation and technical assistance for the exchange of experiences; strengthening civil society participation; involvement of local governments, and the role of the Legislative Power in implementing human rights recommendations.

Paraguay is highlighted for its leadership in the field, and the successful experience of SIMORE Plus is internationally recognized, which as a foreign policy tool has allowed the country greater international presence and visibility. So far, Paraguay has shared this experience through technical cooperation with seven countries in the region.
According to the organizers, this seminar represents a unique opportunity to strengthen international cooperation in the field of human rights. By bringing together experts from around the world, the event will contribute to promoting best practices and advancing human rights protection globally.
