Asunción, Agencia IP.- As part of his visit to Argentina for the inauguration of Javier Milei, Paraguayan President Santiago Peña met with the leaders of Ecuador, Daniel Noboa, and of Hungary, Viktor Orbán.
«I spoke with @DanielNoboaOk, President of Ecuador. I wished him success in his duties, and we also talked about the importance of strengthening our bilateral relations for the benefit of our people,» Peña published on his X account.
It was the first meeting between both presidents, who began their functions in recent months.
On Saturday, Peña met with Hungary’s Prime Minister, Viktor Orbán, with whom it was agreed to promote bilateral relations.

Foreign Affairs Minister Ruben Ramírez reported that the meeting was conducive to reactivating the bilateral agenda, which includes the agreement to open embassies in both countries – halted by the pandemic – and the intention to install a mixed cooperation commission.
Ramírez recalled that Hungary shares with Paraguay being landlocked countries in the United Nations, so efforts will be made to boost relations with the European country during the Presidency of Santiago Peña.
Peña has been in Buenos Aires since Friday, where he held meetings with the Argentine press and later a meeting with the new President, Javier Milei. After the investiture ceremony, the President and his entourage return to the country.
