Peña spoke with the President of Peru about democracy and presented attractions of Paraguay in other meetings

Asunción, Agencia IP.-  During his second day in New York, the President of the Republic, Santiago Peña, maintained several bilateral and business encounters, highlighting Paraguay’s benefits for inversion.

During one of his main activities, the Head of State spoke with the President of Perú, Dina Boluarte, about the importance of the defence of democracy and the strengthening of common values for the benefit of the population.

Subsequently, Peña reunited with the President of the International Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach, and they spoke about the enthusiasm generated by being the host of major sporting events in the coming years.

Likewise, the President met with representatives of the risk rating agencies “Moody’s”, “Standard & Poor’s” and “Fitch”, considered the most important worldwide.

These societies see with interest and optimism the country’s advances in a macroeconomic matter, and the process places Paraguay steps away from investment grade.

Paraguay is attractive for investments

During his second day in New York, Peña participated in the Concordia Annual Summit 2023, which summoned the most outstanding business, governmental and NGO leaders worldwide to instigate the dialogue and form alliances to reach social impact.

On this occasion, Peña highlighted Paraguay’s benefits for inversions, such as the macroeconomic stability and clean renewal of energy resources. He pointed out that one benefit Paraguay has built as a society is the public-private partnerships (PPPs), allowing it to maintain solid economic policies that mean “a public good for the county”.

“Having an independent central bank maintaining low inflation is a public good. This is not only good for bankers or people who want to work in financial inclusion. This is good for the most vulnerable”, claimed.
