Santiago Peña assures full support and collaboration to Javier Milei’s Government

Asunción, Agencia IP.- During his visit to Buenos Aires, the Head of State, Santiago Peña, met with the elected President of Argentina, Javier Milei. On the occasion, they discussed the historic bilateral relations. «I expressed my sincere wishes for success in this new stage at the head of the Government,» said the Paraguayan President.

«Very happy to have this first meeting with the President-elect, Javier Milei, to whom I conveyed my affection and affection, as well as the desire to work together in these coming years,» reported Peña at the end of the meeting that took place in the this Saturday morning, in Buenos Aires.

He stated that the topics addressed were exciting and revolved around economic issues mainly for the benefit of the most vulnerable sectors, considering that both are specialists in the area.

«It is important to carry out policies that benefit the most in need. We also talked about the great gratitude that the Paraguayan people have towards Argentina, which has received millions of Paraguayans over the last few years,» commented Peña.

They also discussed a vibrant bilateral agenda between Paraguay and Argentina. «We talked about the importance of strengthening our historic bilateral relations, which are also of great affection for everything that Argentina represents for Paraguayans,» he added.

Santiago Peña also expressed his wishes for success in this new stage as the Head of the Government to Javier Milei, who will take office as President of Argentina tomorrow.

On the occasion, the Paraguayan President also gave his future colleague the 60-list Poncho Para’i, one of the most representative symbols of Paraguayan culture, which was recognized this Tuesday as an Intangible Cultural Heritage by the United Nations Organization for Education, Science, and Culture (UNESCO).

«He put on the poncho, and I shared the story of the artisans of Piribebuy (Cordillera), very grateful for this gesture on the part of the Paraguayan people,» Peña finally highlighted.
