Santiago Peña spoke with the Ukrainian President for whom he ratified his support

Asunción, Agencia IP.- The President of Paraguay, Santiago Peña, spoke on the phone with his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky, for whom he ratified his support in the difficult time the European country is going through.

The conversation between both President was today during the morning, an occasion in which Peña was in Mburuvicha Róga with Chancellor Rubén Ramírez Lezcano.

«I spoke with @ZelenskyyUa, President of Ukraine, to whom I gave all our support in this difficult time they are going through,» wrote the Paraguayan President through his official account on X (former Twitter).

During the conversation, Santiago Peña reiterated Volodymyr Zelensky Paraguay’s compromise to keep appealing dialogue aiming for peace.

Zelensky provided a summary of the topics approached in the conversation. He thanked Peña for supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, particularly within the UN.

They also discussed strengthening their bilateral and Ukrainian ties with Latin American countries.

«I briefed the President on the progress of Peace Formula meetings and our plans to hold the Global Peace Formula Summit. I invited Paraguay to participate in the preparations,» informed Zelensky on his official X account.

They also addressed the situation in the Middle East. They agreed on the need to protect civilians and guarantee that humanitarian corridors can function without interruptions, according to Zelensky.

The Ukrainian President invited the Paraguayan Head of State to participate in the next Grain From Ukraine summit on November 25 in Kyiv.

Yesterday, the Chancellors of the Group of Seven (G7), formed by Germany, Canada, the United States, France, Italy, and the United Kingdom, ratified their support for Ukraine in the war against Russia.

The group reiterated in a release, «Our steadfast commitment to supporting Ukraine’s fight for its independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity will never waver.»

«We further call on China not to assist Russia in its war against Ukraine,» the ministers said in a joint statement after talks in Japan.

Lastly, they applauded «China’s participation in the peace process led by Ukraine.»
