Asunción, Agencia IP.- The President of the Republic, Santiago Peña, informed the National Congress of his trip to the United States and the Republic of China (Taiwan) from May 14 to 22.
The note, dated Tuesday, May 7, details that the president will first travel to Washington, D.C., and San Francisco, United States, from May 14 to 18.
Subsequently, the head of state will travel to Taipei, Republic of China (Taiwan), on an official trip to participate in the presidential inauguration of Dr. Lai Ching-te, the president-elect of the Republic of China (Taiwan).
Santiago Peña requested permission from the National Congress to be absent until Monday, May 22, 2024. The National Chancellor, Rubén Ramírez Lezcano, and other authorities will accompany him.
