«After many years, a free trade agreement of these characteristics is being celebrated at the extra-zone level,» said the Paraguayan Foreign Affairs Minister, Rubén Ramírez Lezcano, after the bilateral meeting they held in Rio de Janeiro a few days ago.

He commented that regarding Paraguay and Singapore, they talked about the investment possibilities of that country in ours, «the potential that Paraguay has with its natural resources and with a quite solvent legal, financial and economic framework is very attractive.»

They also discussed the agreement on carbon credits that have been agreed to be signed soon, reported the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

«Paraguay has been invited to visit Singapore to deepen into these dialogues at the ministerial and technical levels. We have also reciprocated the invitation to the Chancellor to visit our country. In that context, regarding Mercosur, we have discussed our region’s potential for a relationship with Southeast Asian countries where Singapore can become a platform for projection towards other countries», stated Ramírez Lezcano.
