Spanish investors interested in energy, construction, and real estate development

Asunción, Agencia IP.- The Minister of Industry and Commerce (MIC), Javier Giménez, met with representatives from the Spanish-Paraguayan Chamber of Commerce and the Embassy of Spain in Paraguay to evaluate existing trade relations.

Spanish entrepreneurs are showing a growing interest in sectors such as energy, construction, real estate development, and transportation, indicated the President of the commercial chamber, José Martín Lostao.

Regarding projections for bilateral trade this year, Lostao emphasized the importance of various previous steps, such as the approval of the euro taxation agreement and Spain’s role as an ally to access the European market.

Visit of President Peña

Accompanying the delegation was the Ambassador of Spain in Paraguay, Carmen Castiella Ruiz, with whom an overview of President Santiago Peña’s agenda during his participation in the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona was discussed, one of the leading technology and communication congresses in the world, to be held at the end of February.

The President’s agenda includes a meeting with Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez and an audience with King Felipe VI. In addition, business meetings will be organized in the city of Madrid.
